Founded in 1903, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) is a charity dedicated to bringing high-quality, professional education into the heart of communities. WEA is supported by 3,000 volunteers, 2,000 tutors and over 10,000 members, delivering friendly, accessible and enjoyable courses for adults from all walks of life.

Arkitec delivered a Business Intelligence platform and Data Warehouse solution for WEA based around SQL Server and .NET.

Arkitec were tasked with delivering a modern, secure, responsive web based reporting and business intelligence platform for WEA to replace an existing, incumbent system.

As part of the solution a data warehouse was designed and built alongside an ASP.NET website portal. The solution was fully integrated with existing legacy systems and data sources. Technologies used include SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI, SQL Reporting Services and ASP.NET. Training was given to WEA staff to allow them to develop the system further independently.

The platform has been deployed internally to all staff members continuing to evolve around the reporting needs of the business under the guidance and strategic leadership of Arkitec.
